CHARLENE MARSHALL is the former Executive Director of the
Garden Club of America and was Associate Director of the Maine Community
Foundation. She is a Lay Eucharistic Minister and teaches Stephen Ministry
(a pastoral care ministry) at St. James' Episcopal Church in New York. She
is Chairman of the Juilliard School Council and a member of the Councils of
the American Museum of Natural History and Roundabout Theatre, a member of
the Objects Conservation Committee at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the
Patron Committee of WNET/Channel 13, and is a Trustee of the College of the
Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine. She is married to Anthony D. Marshall, former
United States Ambassador to Kenya, Madagascar and the Seychelles, and
Trinidad and Tobago. She is the daughter-in-law of philanthropist Brooke
Astor. Mrs. Marshall was very pleased to receive Tony Awards for her
productions of Long Day's Journey Into Night and I Am My Own Wife.

The one-man play stars Obie-Award winner Jefferson Mays as over 40 characters, including the controversial figure herself and the American writer who becomes intrigued by her.
